David doesn’t seem to struggle with expression. Whether he is expressing joy, exuberance, despair or anger…he seems to speak honestly…even complains pretty well too. He also rejoices freely in God and his salvation…that’s what always made me curious when I used to hear or read a psalm…before.
I would read the Psalms and hear the ‘language’ he used and chalk it up to poetic intent…but now, by God’s grace, I know it wasn’t poetic pretense, but a real heartfelt delight…hunger…thirsting after the One who changed his life forever…for Eternity.
This song fits into my ‘poignant’ category. It speaks about what stirs my heart to joyful celebration. Listen…enjoy and see if it stirs your spirit as well. Thanks be to God for giving man a song like this to sing.
If you have been saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, you have been found, you can see, you have eternal life.
If you are lost, if you don’t ‘see’ Jesus Christ and His glory, if you don’t hear Him speaking to you, if you do not have a life that hungers and thirsts after God…then ASK…ask the Savior who came to give Life, freely…abundantly.
