Carry me…

As I think back to September 11, 2001 when we as a nation came face to face with the reality that ‘we’ are not in control, I am taken by that truth to many other truths…all of which clearly demonstrate to me that I am completely needy and must depend on my Heavenly Father to carry me on.

Sin is devastating.  When Adam sinned, we all received the consequence of that sin.  When you, I or others sin, it is devastating.  All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; (Isaiah 53:6)  Sin destroys, sin brings death, but there is a Savior!   The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. (John 10:10)

Lost, desparate and needy…I come to the Cross, I come to the Savior – Jesus Christ.

The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! (John 1:29)

Putting my faith in Christ alone, I cry out ‘carry me on’.

Grace and peace be with you.
