Titus 2:11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
15 Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
Often I wrestle with what I post on this blog. I don’t wrestle with ‘is this true or not?’, but with the question ‘will this be heard well or are there too many obstacles for the listener?’ I think it’s a fair question, as long as I don’t let it hinder or change the truth of the gospel message. Having been saved by the grace of God…having spent 40+ years in the evangelical church…I now know the lies I believed and I know the Truth that sets man free from the power of the prince of lies.
The following post is given to stir…agitate…awaken you into vigilant, careful consideration of what the Word of God declares. If that offends you or causes you to question your salvation…good!
Truly, it is good…2 Cor 13:5 says, Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!
Listen well…listen soberly. If you are in the faith…press on! If you are not? Repent and be saved by receiving the grace of God by faith – His work empowering your response to the Truth.
